Oxygen is being provided to a five-year-old boy who fell into an abandoned borewell in Imrotha village here to enable him breathe, police said today.
"Nikhil is stuck at a depth of 50 feet. He is being provided oxygen to enable him breathe. The land around the borewell has been dug upto 35 feet," they said.
The child had yesterday fallen into the 50-feet deep borewell while his family members were working in the fields.
"Efforts are on to save him. We hope to take him out by this evening," District Magistrate Ajay Shukhla said.
