French President Francois Hollande said today that Britain cannot have "special rules" for its City of London financial district.
"We can take into action what the City represents for Europe... But there cannot be special rules for the City," Hollande told French radio during a key EU summit at which London is trying to negotiate a reform deal before putting Britain's membership of the 28-nation club to a referendum.
