The Border Security Force today handed over a Pakistani national, who had crossed the international border in Punjab's Firozpur sector inadvertently, to Pakistani Rangers.
Mohammad Ayub (30), a resident of Kasur district in Pakistan, had inadvertently crossed the international boundary around 1 am today, Deputy Inspector General of Punjab Frontier of BSF, R S Katariya said.
He entered into the Indian territory and reached near the border security fence from where he was arrested by the BSF jawans, Katariya said.

The incident took place near Kaliya border outpost in Firozpur sector, he said.
During questioning, Ayub revealed that he had an argument with his family members following which he left home and inadvertently crossed the international boundary, the DIG said.
Nothing objectionable was recovered from his possession, Katariya said, adding, he was handed over today at 4:15 pm to Pakistani Rangers on humanitarian grounds.
This year so far, nine Pakistanis who had crossed the border by mistake, have been handed over to the Rangers by BSF in Punjab sector, the DIG added.
