BSF recovers heroin worth Rs 15 cr from international border

Border Security Force today seized three kg heroin worth Rs 15 crore near New Gazniwala Border Outpost along the international border in Ferozepur sector.

BSF Deputy Commandant N P Negi said two Pakistani mobile sim cards (Zong and U Fone Company) were also seized.

Based upon specific information about concealment of narcotics in the agriculture fields along the International Border, a special search operation was carried out by BSF troops in the area, he said.

During the search, the troops recovered three packets of one kg heroin each, having street value of Rs 15 crore and two Pak SIM Cards which were buried near a tube well, he said.
