Bulgaria today said it is keen to intensify trade and economic cooperation with India and make the sub-continent an important strategic partner in the Asian region.
"We propose to intensify bilateral trade and economic cooperation with India. The rapidly growing Indian economy is an important strategic partner in the Asian region us," Bulgaria's Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy Anna Yaneva said at a function here.
The region provides low tax rates, skilled workforce, low operating costs and well developed transport and logistics facilities, Yaneva was quoted as saying in a statement here.

The India-Bulgaria cooperation spreads across a host of areas like science and technology, infotech, defence, education, culture and sports, among others.
