Unidentified robbers decamped with an antique idol valued at about Rs one crore and other valuables from the Dadhibabanjew temple in Choudkulat village in Odisha's Kendrapara district
The miscreants had broke into the sanctum sanctorum of the 300-year-old temple last night.
The temple priest spotted the deities missing during wee hours of the day, the police said.

The stolen articles include an Astadhatu idol of Lord Krishna weighing about 40 kg, besides brass idols of Lord Hanuman and Goddesses Durga, the police said.
The Astadhatu idol is of antique value and can fetch up Rs one crore in international smuggling market, the police said.
Forensic teams have already conducted an initial probe and sniffer dogs have been pressed into service to nab the robbers, said Sub Divisional Police Officer, Uma Shankar Maharana.
