Bus services of state-owned APSRTC on the hill routes leading to the Lord Venkateswara shrine near here was today resumed following talks between the temple management and local union leaders of the Transport Corporation, temple sources said.

The services resumed early morning today, the sources said.

For the first time in the last three decades, APSRTC had yesterday suspended all its 500 bus services meant for transportation of pilgrims, following indefinite strike by transport unions demanding reversal of the Centre's decision to carve out Telangana from Andhra Pradesh.

The ongoing two-week agitation against bifurcation of the state is continuing in all the 13 districts of Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra region while the indefinite strike by APSRTC personnel continued for the second day today with services in the Seemandhra region remaining suspended.
