The third edition of 'Cadenzaa' --a musical extravaganza with piano as the focal theme, will be presented by a group of young pianists along with internationally acclaimed guest artists Girish Pradhan and Nise Murano here on January 17.
The performance of the young pianists, trained by the region's leading pianist and reputed music teacher Promiti Phukan, will range from western classical to contemporary.
"It has always been my dream to put up a show wherein young budding musicians would get a platform to showcase their talent," Phukan told PTI.

"My students are all very gifted. I want them to be seen and noticed by everyone. They need to showcase themselves and only a public show like Cadenza will fulfil that", she said.
It is against this backdrop that "I along with my students and well wishers attempted to put up a show in 2013 which received tremendous response from music aficionados of the region," she said.
Pianist of international repute and brand ambassador of Yamaha pianos Nise Murano and his group Zowe Madrigal along with Girish Pradhan, the frontman of popular band 'Girish and the Chronicles' will perform with the students.
"Having artists of international repute enhances the show itself and my young students get to learn so much from them - right from professionalism to the craft," she said.
Promiti, who completed eight grades from London's Trinity College of Music, was nurtured since early childhood by Rajeswar Bordoloi-- Assam's legendary pianist, a musician with command over many instruments and extensive knowledge of both Western and Indian classical music.
