Police today recovered a powerful

can bomb from a Maoist-affected area under Chhatarbandha additional police station in Bihar's Gaya district.

Acting on a tip off, police dug out the 15-kg can bomb from the forest area hit by Maoist activities, Senior Superintendent of Police Ganesh Kumar said.

The bomb disposal squad has been called to defuse the explosive, he said.
