Cannes has become fashion parade: Shabana Azmi

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi has slammed the media frenzy around celebrities' fashion choice at the Cannes Film Festival.

The actress, in a Twitter post, wrote the international festival is a serious event and should be given due respect.

"Today Cannes seems to be a clothes parade! It's a serious film festival guys not a Fashion event. How abt focusing on films and filmakers!(sic)" she tweeted.

Indian media has its eyes set on the ongoing festival as Bollywood star Katrina Kaif made her debut red carpet appearance and actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor are set to attend it in coming days.
