Japanese digital imaging company Canon plans to open more than 200 CIS stores in India this year as part of its plans to increase its market share to 46 per cent from the current 41 per cent.
The expansion plan was announced at the launch of the first Canon Image Square (CIS) store here in the city. This is the 13th store that the company has opened in Tamil Nadu.
More exciting launches are on the anvil for 2015, said Canon India Image Communication Products Centre Senior Director Andew Koh after the launch.

Besides setting up of CIS stores, the company is planning to introduce a range of new variants in the PowerShot, IXUS and EOS series of cameras, he said.
CIS offers a complete range of photography and home printing solutions, the official added.
