Cardamom futures prices were down by 0.42% to Rs 748 per kg today after speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels.
Moreover, adequate stock positions following increased arrivals from producing regions also affected prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for May eased by Rs 3.20, or 0.42%, to Rs 748 per kg, with a business turnover of 8 lots.

The spice for delivery in April fell by Rs 2.30, or 0.31%, to Rs 735.20 per kg, with a trading volume of 112 lots.
Marketmen said besides profit-taking by speculators at existing prices, increased arrivals from producing regions, mainly put pressure on cardamom prices in the futures market.
