Press Trust of India New Delhi
Continuing its losing streak for the third straight day, cardamom prices fell 0.32 per cent to Rs 839.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators went about reducing positions amid adequate stock in the physical market following higher supplies.

In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November fell by Rs 2.70, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 839.10 per kg in a business turnover of 16 lots.

In a similar fashion, the spice for delivery in October traded lower by Rs 1.90, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 819.50 per kg in 162 lots.

Market analysts said a weak trend at the spot market against adequate stock in the physical market on higher supplies from the producing belts mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices.
