Cardamom prices rose 0.24 per cent to Rs 792.50 per kg in futures market today after speculators enlarged positions supported by rising spot market demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October rose Rs 1.90, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 792.50 per kg in a business turnover of 22 lots.
In a similar fashion, spice for delivery in September gained Rs 1.10, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 790.80 per kg in 173 lots.
Market analysts said besides rise in demand at the spot market, tight supplies from producing regions mainly helped cardamom prices to trade higher in futures trade.
