Two cases were today registered by Delhi Police in connection with putting up of posters seeking "arrest" of Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, BJP MP Maheish Girri and NDMC vice chairman Karan Singh Tanwar in the M M Khan murder case in many areas of the city including Narayana and Sarojini Nagar.

"Two cases were registered separately against unknown persons for the posters demanding arrest of Jung, Girri and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) vice chairman Tanwar in the murder of NDMC estate officer M M Khan," said a senior police officer.

The cases were registered under Section 3 of Delhi Defacement (Prevention) of Property Act at Sarojini Nagar and Naraina police stations, he said.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party has been demanding arrest of Girri and Tanwar for writing letters to Jung in favour of Ramesh Kakkar, the prime accused in the murder case.

Khan was shot dead in Jamia Nagar in south Delhi on May 16, a day before he was scheduled to pass the final order on the lease terms of 'Connaught Hotel' of Kakkar located on a property leased out by NDMC.
