CBI arrests SBI officer for demanding bribe

The complainant had alleged that the officer had demanded a bribe of Rs 9,000 from him for sanctioning the crop loan of Rs three lakh, the official said.

"CBI registered a case U/s 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and laid a trap. The accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 9,000 from the complainant. Incriminating documents recovered during searches are being scrutinised," he said.
