Rajasthan Assembly Chief Whip Kalulal Gurjar today said attempts were being made to expedite completion of the Chambal Drinking Water project (CDWP) so that the people of Bhilwara district got respite from the water crisis.
The progress of the project is slow and it will soon be expedite after consultation with project officers and the state government, Gurjar, who is on a visit to Bhilwara, told reporters.
He said religious places in the area with tourism potential would be connected with proper roads.

He said the state government was considering a proposal to provide subsidy or loan to farmers whose farm produce had been damaged by animals including nilgai.
Gurjar said the government would soon hold public hearing in the district to redress public grievances.
