Chana declines by 0.2% on increased supplies
Weak demand from dal mills also affected prices

Chana prices fell marginally to Rs 2,849 per quintal in futures trade on increased supllies from producing regions in the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in September traded lower by Rs 7, or 0.25% to Rs 2,849 per quintal with an open interest of 1,27,220 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in October eased by Rs 7, or 0.24% to Rs 2,934 per quintal in 74,590 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to increased supplies from producing regions in the physical market against weak demand from dal mills.
