Chana prices were down by 0.76 per cent to Rs 4,822 per quintal in futures trade today as traders reduced their positions, taking negative cues from spot market on low demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery fell by Rs 37 or 0.76 per cent to Rs 4,822 per quintal with an open interest of 6,130 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in far-month April contracts traded lower by Rs 28 or 0.64 per cent to Rs 4,347 per quintal in 21,940 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in chana prices at futures trade to easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
