Chana prices eased by 0.78 per cent to Rs 3,432 per quintal in futures market today as participants cut bets, tracking a weak trend at spot market on low demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in July fell by Rs 27, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 3,432 per quintal with an open interest of 80,500 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in August contract was trading lower by Rs 24, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 3,475 per quintal in 66,000 lots.
Analysts said, off loading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand from dal mills in the physical market against ample stocks position on increased arrivals from growing regions kept chana prices down in futures trade.
