Chance the Rapper has announced that he will donate USD one million to Chicago public schools a few days after his "vague" meeting with Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner to discuss funding options in education system.
The Chicago-born rapper said about his plans during an event at Oliver S Westcott Elementary School in South Side neighborhood of West Chatham, reported The Rolling Stone.
"Today I'm proud to announce that I am donating USD 1 million to CPS to support arts and enriching programming. I'm excited to share that this donation was made possible by my fans," he said.
Chance the Rapper also described his 40-minute meeting with Rauner as "disappointing", saying the governor only had "vague" answers.
