Change of command at Army Red Horns division

Jha, took over from Major General R N Nair, an official statement said.

Jha has earlier served in the North-East on several occasions.

"While taking charge he expressed happiness at having got yet another opportunity to serve in North East and assured that Red Horns Division will continue to stand by the people of Assam," the statement said.

Jha had also earlier commanded a Rashtriya Rifles battalion in Jammu and Kashmir and an Assam Rifles sector in North-East. The Rangiya-based Red Horns Division is part of the Gajraj Corps.
