Days after the Supreme Court's interim relief to Tamil Nadu Cricket Association expired on May 14, Chennai Corporation officials today sealed three stands at the M A Chidambaram stadium here.
On a petition by TNCA after the I, J and K stands were sealed by the Chennai Corporation, the Supreme Court had directed the civic body to de-seal the three stands.
Chennai Corporation had on May 12 sealed the three stands in the stadium, saying TNCA was yet to get planning permission and building approvals.

TNCA had challenged the Corporation's action of sealing the three stands on the ground that they had been constructed without prior permission from the authorities concerned.
The Apex Court while granting the interim relief on May 14, had said the stands would remain closed for other matches and they cannot be opened without its permission.
