A CID team recovered rationing wheat of 12 trucks from near the house of a trader at Palassy in Nadia, a top police officer said.
The wheat-laden trucks were loaded at FCI godown at Krishnagar, Bhatganjla in district but was believed to be siphoned off for sale in open market, the officer said.
SP, Nadia, Shees Ram Jhajharia said, "14 persons including a godown manager and owner were arrested from different parts of Nadia on charge of smuggling of ration goods."

Tapas Saha, TMC MLA, Palashipara said, "These trucks of wheat were taken near the godown of a trader. We demand an investigation in the issue.
