Cigarettes confiscated from Sharjah passenger

Customs officials today seized 200 cartoons of foreign cigarettes worth Rs six lakh from a passenger who arrived from Sharjah for not paying duty.

The officials found the cigarettes when they checked the baggage of Yusuf, hailing from Ernakulam in Kerala, and he did not possess any document for having paid duty, police said.
