The by-elections to seven wards of five municipalities and municipal councils in Rajasthan's seven districts were today announced.
The by-elections will be held in Barmer, Dausa, Dholpur, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur and Sawaimadhopur districts on March 26, the state election commission said.
The notification for the bypolls was issued on March 3.
The last date for filing nomination papers is March 14, while the scrutiny will take place on March 15 and the last date for nomination withdrawal is March 17, it said in a release.
Symbols will be allotted on March 18 and if necessitated, polling will take place on March 26 and the counting of votes would be done on March 28, the release said.
Elections for chairman and vice chairman will take place on March 29, it added.
