Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the Gulzarbagh Sports Complex here.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said the complex would be helpful in promoting sports in the city, an official release said.
The lawn of the complex needs to be smoothen further, he said adding that more than 100 stadiums have been constructed so far at block level in the state.
There is a need to construct sports complex and training centres at block, district and divisional levels, Kumar said adding that sports play an important role in the development of youths as it helps in overall development.
Praising Shreyasi Singh, who won gold medal in shooting at the just concluded Commonwealth games, the CM congratulated Shreyasi Singh on her achievement and said that such talented sports persons would be honoured by the state government, the release said adding that art, culture and youth department has already taken a decision in this regard.
