The Nashik division today experienced shivering cold, with Nandurbar district recording the lowest minimum temperature of 3 degree Celsius, the MET department said.

Among other districts in the division, Nashik and Jalgaon recorded minimum temperature of 7 degree Celsius each, Dhule registered 8 degree Celsius, while Ahmednagar saw the mercury plummet to 11 degree Celsius.

Residents are seen sporting woolens and warm clothes even in the day to protect from the cold wave, and are assembling for campfires at night.

The cold conditions are likely to persist for the next few days owing to chilly winds originating from north India, the weatherman said.
