College student found hanging in hostel

The body of a student of Mahishadal Raj College was found hanging in a hostel of the college this morning, police said.

Hirishikesh Dalui, a 3rd year student, behaved normally till late night but this morning his friends could not find him in the room.

After searching, he was found hanging with a 'gamchha' (traditional towel) in the kitchen of the hostel, police said.

Dalui is a resident of Haldia in the district.
