Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today directed officials to complete the work on the memorials in the state in a time bound manner.
At a meeting here, Badal emphasised on the design of the memorials of religious gurus, saints and seers and told the officials that the construction work should be completed expeditiously as they are aimed to perpetuate the rich legacy, an official spokesman said.
During the meeting, he reviewed the progress of War Memorial and Bhagwan Valmiki ji Memorial at Amritsar, Jang-e-Azadi Memorial at Kartarpur, Guru Ravidass ji Memorial at Hoshiarpur, Bhai Jaita ji Memorial, Baba Moti Ram Mehra ji Memorial, Swami Vivekananda ji Memorial, among others.

Meanwhile, Badal also directed state government officials to fix a time exclusively for meeting the public and their elected representatives in order to provide prompt administrative services.
Badal expressed concern over the rising number of complaints from public that the officials have either not fixed any time for redressing grievances or usually avoid the meeting.
