Young party MP Mausam Benazir Noor, MLA Abu Hena and former PCC chief Manas Bhunia's brother Bikash Ranjan Bhunia figure in the list of 28 district Congress presidents for West Bengal appointed by party chief Sonia Gandhi today.
In around 10 districts, the party has replaced the existing district Congress committee chiefs as part of its exercise to give a new look to Congress which is currently not in alliance with any political party in the state.
Noor, who is considered a Rahul Gandhi pick, has been made the district president of Malda while Hena is now the district chief of Murshidabad, considered the party's stronghold.
Bhunia heads the district Congress committee in Paschim Medinipur.
