In the run-up to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) polls due next year, the Congress has planned a string of public meetings starting this month.
"The meetings will be held at all the important locations across Mumbai's 227 wards. The first one will be held at Dahisar tomorrow," Congress city unit chief Sanjay Nirupam said.
He said his party will highlight the "corruption" prevailing in the BMC, run by the Shiv Sena-BJP coalition.

Nirupam said the meetings will be addressed by various party leaders, including himself.
"We will stress on the need to defeat the corrupt Sena-BJP in the BMC," he added.
"Three to four meetings will be held every weekend, from Friday to Sunday. In November alone, the party hopes to reach out to 100-125 wards," said Nirupam.
