Opposition Congress members today staged a walkout from the Rajasthan Assembly for not allowing them to speak during the discussion on rising price of sand.
NPP MLA Kirori Meena raised the issue in the Assembly, saying some influential people in ruling BJP, in connivance with officers, have controlled the sale of sand and inflated its prices.
He demanded the appointment of a high-level committee having MLAs as its members to take the sand trade out of the hands of mafia and control its price.
