State Congress leader Darshan Raina passed away here.
He was 62.
"Raina died at his house yesterday. He was ailing for some time. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son," family sources said.
Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today condoled the demise of party leader Darshan Raina from Jammu.
Expressing heartfelt condolences at his demise, Azad said Raina was a very committed Congressman who contributed very effectively both as District Working President Jammu and Office bearer of PCC. Raina started his career as District Youth Congress President, Jammu.
"On his demise, Congress Party has lost a noble soul and a highly devoted party worker, who considered his privilege to serve the people," said Azad in a statement, adding that the vacuum in the party due to his death will be difficult to fill.
