Terming the Congress "counter" rally in Dharamsala a "flop", the Himachal BJP today alleged that the government machinery was blatantly misused for the rally that failed to achieve the objective for which it was held.
"The rally was aimed at countering BJP's yesterday rally at the same venue but the Chief Minister failed to answer the questions raised by the BJP and inspite ofblatant misuse of government machinery, the rally did not evoke the desired response from people," state BJP general secretary Randhir Sharma said in a statement.
Sharma said that the people were expecting that CM Virbhadra Singh and other Congress leaders would reply to the charges of corruption against the top leadership but they not only avoided the main issue but resorted to counter allegations to save their own skin.
Alleging that the Chief minister was behaving like Madhu Koda, the then Chief minister of Jharkhand, who faced ED probe but tendered his resignation before his arrest and reiterated that Virbhadra Singh had no moral right to continue and should resign forthwith.
