Constable kills colleague, commits suicide

A 35-year-old police constable shot dead one of his colleagues and injured another before committing suicide at Police Lines here today, as he was reportedly upset over the duty schedule fixed for him.

Saurabh Tyagi shot Manoj (38) and Chatrapal at Quarter Guard in Police Lines here in the evening before committing suicide, SSP Anis Ansari said.

The two were admitted to a hospital in Noida where Manoj succumbed to injuries, he said.

A probe into the incident has been initiated, the police officer said.
