A 30-year-old man was today found hanging in his room in Surajpur area here, with his family claiming that he committed suicide, police said.
Abhilesh Gupta, a contractor, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room, they said.
No suicide note, however, was recovered from the spot.
His relatives and friends told police that Gupta was in dipression after suffering huge losses in business, and took the extreme step because of that, they said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being probed, police said.
