Copper falls by 0.1% on global cues
Low demand at spot markets also affected prices

Copper prices moved down by 0.13% to Rs 356.25 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend overseas and low demand at spot markets.
Copper for delivery in far-month February next year shed 45 paise, or 0.13%, to Rs 356.25 per kg in a business turnover of six lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in November traded lower by 20 paise, or 0.06%, to Rs 350.35 per kg in 223 lots.
Analysts said copper prices fell in line with a weak trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME) on concern over the economic slowdown in China.
Besides, low demand from domestic industries had a negative impact, they said.
Copper for delivery in three months retreated 0.9% to $5,208 a metric tonne at the LME, the lowest level since September 8.
