Copper futures soften by 0.37% on global cues

prices fell by 0.37 per cent to Rs 462 per kg in futures market today as speculators reduced their positions amid weak trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in June declined by Rs 1.70, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 462 per kg in business turnover of 1,822 lots.

Similarly, the for delivery in far-month 1.70, or 0.36 per cent to Rs 466 per kg in 21 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in prices at futures trade to a weak overseas trend where the slid, coming under pressure from a rise in stockpiles of the used in power and construction.
