Industialists and top civil servants will take part in the third edition of Corporate Bridge Meet, a day long mind game for the corporate leaders, senior bureaucrats and other noted personalities, at a city hotel here on Saturday.
According to president of Corporate Bridge Association of India (CBAI) and HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh, the event is becoming more popular every year and this time around 80 bridge enthusiasts from various corporates houses, senior officers of different government establishments and other personalities will stake their claim for the top honours.
Giving details of the unique meet, sponsored by Shree Cement, CBAI secretary Debashish Roy said this one-day competition would be restricted to Pairs event only.

Roy said beside Parekh, other corporate leaders participating in this this special event are Shreee Cement Managing Director H M Bangur, Modi Group chairman K N Modi, Symphony Ltd. Founder Rupa Bakeri, AIA Engineering Managing Director Bhadresh Shah, CMD of Kent TO Systems Mahesh Gupta, MD of Phoenix Mills Ashok Ruia, vice-Chairman of Dhampur Sugar Mills and former captain of Indian team in the world bridge championship for Bermuda Bowl Asoke Goel, TISCO president Ananda Sen, MD of Clips India Ltd Arun Jain, CEO of K K Modi Group Sarthak Behuria, Navayuga Group chairman C V Rao and MD of Gujarat Samachar Bahubali Shah.
Top civil servants who have confirmed their participation in this competition are Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan Amar Sinha, Civil Aviation secretary Aloke Sinha, Director General of Independent Valuation Ajay Chibber, Director General of Income Tax(Delhi) Shyam Murari Nigam and Heavy Industries secretary Sutanu Behuria.
Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be the chief guest at the prize giving ceremony.
