Cottonseed oilcake prices were up by another Rs 19 to Rs 1,941 per quintal in futures trading today as participants indulged in enlarging their positions amid a firm trends a the physical markets.
Marketmen said a firm trend at the spot markets on the back of strong demand amid thin supplies, mainly attributed the rise in cottonseed oil prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in December contracts gained by Rs 19 or 0.99 per cent to Rs 1,941 per quintal, with an open interest of 44,540 lots.
Also, the most-active delivery in far-month January next year advanced by Rs 18 or 0.94 per cent to Rs 1,943 per quintal,in an open interest of 46,930 lots.
