Couple crushed under train

A woman died while trying to save her husband, who was also killed, from being crushed under a moving train at Bawal station here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday and the couple has been identified as Vikram Bamiki (31) and his wife Shashi Bala (28).

According to police, the mishap took place when Shashi made a bid to save Vikram, who was crossing the rail track when the Porbander Express was approaching the Rewari station.

Vikram, a resident of Alwar district in Rajasthan, was employed as a Chowkidar in Bawal Community Heath Centre.
