Couple, son killed in road accident near Panipat

A couple and their minor son were today killed after being hit by a car on a national highway near Samalkha in Panipat, police said.

A 35-year-old man along with his wife and 6-year-old son were waiting to cross the highway on their motorcycle when a car coming from Chandigarh hit them, DSP Samalkha, Gorkh Pal said.

He said the couple was killed on the spot while the child died on the way to a hospital.

During the time of the incident, their motorcycle was stationary as they were waiting for the traffic to clear before crossing the road, Pal said.
 

He said a case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the car driver.
