Covid-19 patient who fled Maha facility traced, brought back

A Covid-19 patient who fled an

isolation facility in Pimpri Chinchwad in Maharashtra on Saturday night was found a few hours later at a friend's house and brought back and place under quarantine, an official said.

The person had travelled to Thailand, he said.

"He fled the hospital after his test report returned positive. We found him at a friend's place in Bhosari. He was placed in quarantine again in the early hours of Sunday. Samples of all those who came in contact with him have been sent for testing a reports are awaited," he added.
