Criminal carrying reward money arrested in UP

A criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 5,000, was today arrested from Hathras district, police said here.

Aqil alias Rafiq was arrested on a tip off from Hathras Gate area of Hathras district, police said.

During interrogation, Aqil confessed to his involvements in eight loot incidents in Mathura and Aligarh districts, they said.

Separate FIRs were lodged against him in Aligarh, Etah, Hathras and Mathura in different cases and a reward of Rs 5,000 was declared on this arrest, they said.
