A criminal managed to escape from police custody while being taken to a local court here, police said today.
Anit alias Bhima, who was brought from Saharanpur, drugged the accompanying policemen and escaped in an auto with the help of his aides while being taken to the court yesterday, they said.
The miscreants also took away two AK-47 rifles and an SLR of the cops with them, they said.
