A notorious criminal serving judicial custody was today shot at by another inmate of Sikar jail in Rajasthan, police said.
"Subhash Moond opened fire at Raju Theth inside the jail compound at the time of lunch. Theth got injured and has been referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur in a critical condition," police inspector Rajendra Rawat said.
Both the criminals are facing trial in different cases.

Theth is involved in various cases, including smuggling, whereas Subhash has been booked in a case of attempt to murder, he said.
The pistol used in the shooting and 10 cartridges were recovered from the spot.
