A CRPF jawan was today injured after being hit by a stone chip flung by a passing train near Sonua station under Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway, a senior police officer said.
The incident occured when 13288 South Bihar Express was passing through the station and a stone chip flung in the air under its impact hit E Kanyaraju, a jawan of 174 Battalion of CRPF passing through the area, Sub-divisional Police Officer (Chakradharpur), Ajay Kerketta said.
Kanyaraju fell unconscious after having suffered head the injury and was rushed to a nearby hospital but shifted to Brahamanand Hospital here later, he said.
The jawan regained his sense and is out of danger now, he said.
