CRPF jawan shot at; critically injured

Militants today shot at and critically injured a CRPF jawan in Aalikadal area of the city, a senior official of the force said.

"Militants attacked our personnel at Aalikadal in downtown city this evening, resulting in injuries to one jawan," the officer said.

He said the injured jawan has been rushed to a hospital for treatment while search operations have been launched to nab the assailants.

However, no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
