Continuing its falling streak for the third day, crude palm oil shed another 0.28 per cent to Rs 566.20 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants engaged in trimming their positions amid a weak trend at spot market on muted demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in September declined by Rs 1.60, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 566.20 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 81 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in October shed 70 paise, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 551.60 per 10 kg in 44 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept crude palm oil prices lower at futures trade.
